Riding Lessons at Carousel Farm
Riding lessons are given primarily in English huntseat
instruction, but we do offer basic western pleasure
instruction. All ages and levels of ability are welcome.
We have lesson horses to suit every level of rider. Safety
is our number one concern. It is important for riders
to learn the care of the horse and tack as well as learning to
ride. We start all riders from the ground up. Once in the

Lessons are primarily private and are approximately 45
minutes - 1 hour in length. Children under the age of 8
will be given 1/2 hour lessons. All lessons must be
scheduled ahead of time. Students are required to enroll
for a 6 month period. During this time, they are required
to schedule, pay and use all lessons in the current month.
Students wishing to show, must take 8 lessons per month and
take 2 lessons the week prior to attending a show. All
other lesson students are required to take 4 lessons per
month, but may request additional lessons.
Payment for the month must be received by the first lesson
of the month. All lessons for the month must be scheduled
by the first lesson of the month. If you must cancel your
lesson you must do so 24 hours in advance to be able to
reschedule within the current month; otherwise, you forfeit
the lesson. Also, if you are not planning to re-enroll at
the end of 6 months, you must give the instructor notice at
the beginning of the 6th month.
